Reels Competition

A. General Conditions
  1. The Reels Competition is open to all domestic and international university students
  2. Registration for the competition is free of charge
  3. Reels Competition is the original work of the participants and has never been included in the previous competition or published in any media.
  4. Participants must follow the official Instagram account of @departementpariwisataunp
B. Theme

The theme of the work is "Promotion on tourism and hospitality business"

C. Competition Requirements
  1. Participants must fill in the registration and doing submission at the link https://bit.ly/UITC2024
  2. Participants are individuals
  3. Reels must focus on promoting a tourism or hospitality business (It can be destination, natural beauty, cultural heritage, local cuisine, activities, retaurant, cafe, hospitality services, etc)
  4. Reels must be in compliance with Instagram's community guidelines.
  5. Each participant can only submit one reels.
  6. Reels must be between 30 seconds till 1 minute in length.
  7. The participant must be appeared in the video
  8. Reels must use English
  9. Reels must be posted publicly on Instagram.
  10. Content should be positive and respectful of all cultures.
  11. All entries must include the competition hashtag #Reelscompetition #tourismdepartement #univeristasnegeripadang #UITC2024 and tag the organizer’s Instagram account (@departemenpariwisataunp)
D. Terms and Conditions:
  1. By entering the competition, participants grant the organizer the right to use the submitted Reels for promotional purposes.
  2. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the rules or that they deem inappropriate.
  3. The decision of the judges is final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
  4. The organizer is not responsible for any technical issues or failures that may affect the participation or submission process.
E. Judging
The assessment criteria of the posters at the selection stage are as follows
  1. Creativity: Originality and innovation in the presentation of the tourism or hospitality business.
  2. Engagement: Likes, comments, and shares on the Reels.
  3. Quality: Visual and audio quality of the Reels.
  4. Relevance: How well the Reel promotes the theme of tourism and hospitality.
F. Activity stages
  1. Registration & Submission

  2. Announcement of the Winner
    September 19, 2024 on the official website and social media (instagram) of @departementpariwisataunp and email of each finalist.
G. Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third winners of each category
in the form of cash and e-certificates. All participants will get an e-certificate

Virtual Guiding Contest

A. General Conditions
  1. Virtual Guiding Contest is a competition that interprets information on tourist destinations / areas around us virtually through video.
  2. The Virtual Tour Guiding Contest is open to all domestic and foreign students.
  3. Registration for the competition is free of charge
  4. The competition in the form of video is the original work of the participants and has never been included in the previous competition or published.
  5. Participants must follow the official Instagram account of @departementpariwisataunp
B. Theme

The theme of the work is "Guiding to support sustainable tourism" where participants will interpret tourist attraction information related to cultural heritage (tangible or intangible) in one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia or abroad. It is in the form of site guiding or local guiding, not in form of city bus guiding.

C. Competition Requirements
  1. Participants must fill in the registration and do submission at the link https://bit.ly/UITC2024
  2. Participants are individual
  3. The work is collected through a video uploaded to YouTube with a duration of 5-15 minutes in English.
  4. Videos are made in accordance with the theme and made as interesting as possible. Participant can record the video on site or through media.
  5. Each participant can only submit one video
  6. Video size is adjusted to the uploaded place
  7. The video does not contain elements of SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group relations), pornography, sadism or things that are demeaning or harassing other parties.
  8. Videos uploaded on YouTube must have a title: UNP International Tourism Competition_Name of Participant and use a thumbnail of the name and title of the video.
  9. All videos will be selected, 10 participants with the best videos will enter the final round and present directly to the judges.
  10. Participants are ready to carry out legal penalties if they violate copyright or are proven to plagiarize work.
D. Judging

The assessment criteria of the video at the selection stage are as follows

  1. Theme;
  2. Technique;
  3. Appearance / Mastery of Material;
  4. Communication Skills;

While in the final stage, a work presentation assessment is added.

  3. Final Presentation and Result
    September 19, 2024 at 09.00 a.m. (GMT+7)
    10 best videos will be selected that will be presented in front of the judges using the zoom meeting application.
